Montuno Dance Company will be holding auditions for the following teams:
1) Protege Student Team (audition required)
2) Amateur Team (audition required)
3) Semi-Pro (audition required)

Members will be trained in Montuno Dance Company ON1 leading/following technique, performance skills, spinning, styling, body isolations & cabaret style tricks.
You will learn a new dance routine to perform at the 2010 San Francisco Salsa Festival and other Bay Area dance venues.



Auditions for the "Protege Student Team":

One of the funnest and most entertaining routines of 2009 in the Bay Area. "Protege Student Team" is back for another season.

The intent of this team is to allow beginner level dancers to participate in a team experience that will culminate in an opportunity to perform a salsa routine on stage.
When: January 31, 2010.
Times: Men and Ladies 12:00pm-2:00pm
Where: Dance Blvd Studio
1824 Hillsdale Ave
San Jose, Ca 95124

Attire:
Comfortable clothes (preferably no jeans and no skirts for the ladies). Dance shoes and either jazz shoes or dance sneakers

Format:
1) Quick warm-up
2) Prospective dancers will learn footwork and styling combination
3) Dancers will be evaluated on timing, performance ability, styling and ability to learn choreography

All dancers will be evaluated by Montuno senior dancers,

Isidro Corona, Director of Montuno Dance Company, Arielle Lehaitre, Alex Lee and Chi Lee


Auditions for the Amateur and Semi-Pro Teams:
Back for another season is Montuno Dance Company Amateur Team.

Amateur Team prerequisite:
AT LEAST 1-2 YEARS of dance experience and a Flexible schedule.

The intent of this group is to develop highly skilled performers/dancers. Dancers will learn and practice a challenging routine that will help hone dancing abilities, particularly spinning, partnering technique, footwork and performance skills.
When: January 31, 2010.
Times: Men and Ladies 2:30pm-4:30p
Where: Dance Blvd Studio
