Originally from Colombia's Pacific Coast, a region of the world famed for its influence on the musical genre, Yorleny has grown up within the world of Salsa. At age 13, she began singing backup in Cali, Colombia, eventually becoming lead singer in one of the country's best folkloric exhibition groups Group Folklorico Socavon, touring to Brazil, Panama, and Ecuador.
For her first solo track, Yorleny teamed up with US.-based composer Hugo Tovar - also from Colombia's Pacific Coast - to polish her signature sound. With the worldwide launch of her first single "Me Haces Sentir" Yorleny has successfully ventured into new territory as a solo artists, while remaining close to her musical roots.
