Your guide to salsa nights in the metro

If this week's feature story made you want to shake your tail feather, there are weekly salsa nights hosted by several venues in Kansas City. 


On Josh Hernandez' site, a calendar lists each month's events.

This Thursday: Salsa at the Conspiracy Room, 3700 Broadway, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. $5 cover. 21 and over. Tomorrow's  proceeds will benefit relief efforts for Haitian earthquake victims. Every Friday: Latin Nights at Casa Grande, 700 Southwest Boulevard. 8 p.m. to 3 p.m., $5 cover, ages 18 and over.

Every Saturday: Salsa at the Beaumont Club, 4050 Pennsylvania Avenue.10:30 p.m. to 3 a.m., $5 cover, 21 and over. Call 913-562-7376 for more information.

Every Saturday: Latin Nights at Casa Grande, 700 Southwest Boulevard. 8 p.m. to 3 a.m., $5 cover, ages 18 and over. DJ Los (Carlos Mendez) and DJ Alberto Nunez.

This Saturday (January 30) only: Salsa by Mario Orelus at the Morton Ballroom, 3936 Main Street. Lessons from 7-7:50 pm, open dance floor from 8 p.m. to midnight. $10 cover (includes bottled water, coffee, cake), all ages.
