FROM the bars and clubs of Edinburgh and Glasgow to festival stages the world over, now Salsa Celtica bring their new show to Clitheroe on April 21.

The 11-piece ensemble, boasting an international cast of musicians are visiting The Grand as part of a UK tour, on the eve of the release of their new live album, El Vivo En El Norte.

In 2003 the salsa band’s debut album reached number five on the World Music Chart of Europe, and 2004 saw them take their fusion of Latin and Celtic sounds on tour in the UK for the first time with a sell out tour.

Headline appearances have included the Edinburgh Jazz Festival, WOMAD World Music Festival and last year’s Big Whistle weekend.

* SALSA CELTICA — The Grand, Clitheroe, Wednesday, April 21. Doors open from 7.15pm. Tickets are £15, available from The Britannia Gallery, Mellor Brook or The Grand box office.
