Group leaders say the proceeds will go to the group’s scholarship fund that provides $1,000 college awards to a high school seniors of Latin heritage seeking a career in law enforcement or related field.
The group has provided more than $20,000 in scholarships over the years. In previous years, the money went to non-profit agencies like Meals on Wheels, ASPIRA, and St. John’s Church in Piermont. Because of the tough economic times, the group says it’s focusing on the scholarship fund this year.
The dance — with Hors d’oeuvres, beverages and an open bar from 8 to 9 p.m. — is $35 per person or $40 at the door.
