After 4 years of dedicated service to the community, Ricki Anaya will be moving on.

It's always a pain to see one of our faithful instructors leave us due to time constraints and other duties that have grown in importance. Ricki Anaya has been with us for over four years now, helping us with teaching classes and also substituting for instructors. She has taught on Thursdays, Fridays, and also at her Tuesday classes. She has contributed by providing us with performances and also provided us with an extension of our community through her own classes offerred at other nights during the week. She has also been our privates instructor coordinator for the length of time, and also assisted in advertising for us. Please take a moment to reflect on her contributions and hope that we'll see her back at JSmoothSalsa! Her last day with us will be March 15.

Ricki's dance experience began with her passion for social dancing in Cumbia, Salsa, and Merengue. She studied with various prominent teachers throughout the greater bay area and is continually learning. Her ability to understand both the leader and follower roles in the dance give her the tools needed to help those learning to dance. Ricki has participated in dance competitions and placed 1st in Merengue at the Metronome April Follies event 2006, and recently qualified for the finals for the Afinkao Dance Company Jill and Jill event as a leader.
