Cross-body Lead

Cross-body Lead
Start - Open hold.

123 - Crossbody prep.
(Lead steps and ends to the left of the follower, the right shoulder is closest to the follower, at a 90 degree angle from the shoulders. The leader is out of the follower's way however still connected at the hands.)

567 - Crossbody lead.
(The leader pulls the follower in the slot and steps to face the follower again. Note that a proper crossbody lead has the follower moving in a straight line pass the leader and not stepping around the lead. In regards to the lead, the leader uses the right hand to pull the follower through the crossbody lead while the left hand turns the follower on the 6-7 count so that they do a left turn.)
123 - Basic.

Open Break to Pass-By followed by Wrap-Check

Start - Open hold.

123 - Crossbody lead prep.
567 - Crossbody lead.
123 - Open break, line open break to pass-by.
567 - Lead half left turn with follower right turn to wrap.
123 - Walk around.
567 - Crossbody outside turn.
