Cross, Sweeps, & Kicks

12: Side Basic.
3: Left foot, right cross step, front.

5: Right foot, forward cross step.
6: Left foot, Right cross sweep.
(While keeping the left foot in front of you instead of a cross step, sweep the left foot to the right.)
7: Left foot, left cross sweep.
(Sweep the left foot to the left, which is about shoulder distance from the last point.)

1: Left foot, right cross step, front.
2: Right leg, side air kick.
(Right foot is brought to the side and does air kick. Height of kick should not be above knee level.)
3: Right foot, left cross step, front.

5: Hook turn.
(from cross step, keep elbows up for balance and twist self into turn with thigh muscles and balls of feet.)
6: Hook turn prep.
(From last position, bring the left leg behind the right in a cross step to prepare for a hook turn.)
7: Hook turn.
(The same as count 5.)

1: Forward basic step.

Tunnel (Rabbit Hole) to Ducking Right Turn
Start - Open hold.

123 - Open break to rabbit hole.
(Break to right side wrap. Instead of stopping at wrap, lead lifts right elbow high enough where follower can go through arms. Followers end up going through arms with back going in first.)
567 - Lead ducking right turn.
(As the follower goes in the tunnel, the lead drops their height down. This is done by keeping the back straight and squatting down from the knees, hips, and ankles. While keeping the arms in the same lock position, the lead turns right underneath the hand holds and comes up after clearing the turn. Position is back in an open hold.)

Butterfly Walkaround

Butterfly Walkaround
Start - Reverse Cross hold.

123 - Open break, inside turn check w/ linked hands.
(After the open break, the follower is turned left and towards the lead. The lead stops the follower by keeping the right hand hold at the follower's right shoulder.)
567 - Push back follower followed by lead left turn for shadow.
(After pushing the follower back into the slot, the lead half turns left to face away from the follower. Hands are at the shoulder level but off the shoulders.)
123 - Lead side-step w/ left arm to right side.
(The lead steps to the left while bringing the arm to the right side. This will allow the follower to walk to the front of the leader.)
567 - Follower walks forward for butterfly position in front of the lead.
123 - Head loops. Left arm over to the right shoulder, release. Right arm to left shoulder, release.
567 - Outside travelling turn, pushed by lead's right hand on the left shoulder.
(Follower turns away from the lead.)
123 - Basic step.

Reverse Hammerlock to Inside Turn to Free Inside Turn
Start - Open hold.

123 - Open break to right broken-arm check (aka reverse hammerlock).
567 - Inside turn on lead's right hand, keeping follower's right hand at waist level w/ left hand.
(The leader pushes the follower around them while they remain stationary.)
123 - Release follower's right hand, pull follower behind and across back to prep for free turn.
567 - Free inside turn on lead's right hand.
123 - Basic.

Arm-Overs to Follower Outside Turn w/ Left-Arm Hold
Start - Open hold.

123 - Open break to arm-overs.
(After the open break and while keeping the shoulders parallel to the followers and hands connected, the lead brings the right hand hold behind the follower's head while the left hand hold is in front at shoulder level. The lead then releases the right hand hold and puts their hand on the follower's back left shoulder.)
567 - Outside turn w/ left-arm hold.
(While the leader pushes the follower into a right turn with the right hand, with the arm behind the follower's neck still, the lead brings the left hold over their head and turns left to face the follower.)
123 - Basic.

Start - Open hold.

123 - Basic to turn prep.
567 - Outside turn to hammerlock.
(The lead turns the follower with the left hand while keeping the right hand hold at follower's waist level.)
123 - Tunnel to right hand release.
(The lead walks through the arm hold. Once the lead clears the follower, they release the right hand hold and turns left to face the follower. Prepare for an outside turn.)
567 - Outside turn.
(Lead turns the follower into a right turn.)

Lead Inside Turn to Arm Fan
Start - Cross hold.

123 - Lead inside turn.
(Lead initiates half of the turn by turning left. Lead must push the follower's hands up high and loose. The loose hold keeps the follower from turning.)
567 - Lead inside turn.
(Lead continues to turn left while keeping the follower's hands up high. At count 7, the lead's wrist or fingers touch the follower's wrists to prepare for the arm fan.)
123 - Arm fan.
(The lead pushes the follower's arms down in a fan motion.)
567 - Back basic.

Start - Open hold.

123 - Crossbody lead prep.
567 - Crossbody lead to line break.
(Lead releases left hand hold, allow follower to bring shoulders perpendicular from the slot.)
123 - Line break to one-inside turn w/ hold connect.
(On count 2, lead pulls follower into one left turn and releases hold, but keeping the hand hold at waist level, and then holds follower's right wrist with the left hand.)
567 - Crossbody inside turn with lead right hook turn.
(Lead pushes the follower's right wrist so that they continue into a left travelling turn. Lead also does a right hook turn in the slot.)
123 - Basic.

Open Break to Passing Flare, To Hip Outside Turn
Start - Cross hold.

123 - Open break to passing flare.
(The lead pushes the follower away for a open break. When the lead recovers from it, the lead steps pass the follower, on the right, with the left hand keeping the follower's left at their stomach. The lead's right hand hold is brought over the follower's head. The lead then keeps that hold behind their shoulders.)
(Note: Both shoulders remain forward in the slot. Also, when the lead brings the right hand hold over the follower's head, the lead must bring the arm straight towards the follower's head and over. This keeps the follower from turning.)

567 - Hip outside turn.
(The lead releases the right hand hold and moves the hand to the follower's right hip. The lead also releases the left hand hold. The lead turns the follower in a right turn on 5.)

Flared Break to Pull-In Fan
Start - Cross hold.

123 - Basic.
567 - Outside turn w/ linked hands to lead shadow.
(After follower turns, lead turns to left to have back to follower. Holds end at lead's shoulder level.)
123 - Rt./Lt. Release arm crosses.
(1: Bring right hand hold to left shoulder, release hand onto shoulder.)
(2: Bring left hand hold to right shoulder, release hand onto shoulder.)
(3: Right hand holds hand on right shoulder, left hand holds follower's hand on left shoulder. At this point, follower's left hand is on the leader's right shoulder.)

567 - Lead left turn to flared break.
(Bring arms over head, step into left turn to face follower, while keeping arms above head. When facing follower break hold with fanned break. This is done when the lead lets go and connects to follower's wrists with own. Lead brings followers arms down to waist level and holds follower at the waist.)
123 - From flared break to Pull-In
(Push follower away for break and bring follower close with waist hold.)
567 - Half basic with waist hold.
(Let go of waist hold and go back to basic open hold.
123 - Basic.
