Shines
Note: With the exception of the first basic step, the shines have the dancer's body facing left from the beginning basic that is, the beginning basic has the dancer facing in any forward direction.
1: Left foot, forward step basic.
2: Right foot, weighted step basic.
3: Left foot, Open step. While turning body to face left, left foot steps shoulder length.
5: Left cross step.
(Right leg is crossed behind left leg by stepping behind the left leg.)
6: Right cross step.
(At this point, left leg is in front of the right leg. Left leg steps behind right leg in cross step.)
7: Right foot, Open step. While body remains facing left, right foot steps shoulder length in open step.
1: Left foot, Forward basic step.
(Dancer turns body right to face forward again in basic.)
1: Left foot, forward step basic.
2: Right foot, weighted step basic.
3: Left foot, Open step. While turning body to face left, left foot steps shoulder length.
5: Left cross step.

Side Step & Hop
1: Left foot, left side step.
2: Weight transfer to right foot w/ left foot twist.
(Twist body to the left while turning the left foot to the left.)
3: Left foot, basic step.
(The left foot steps as if still in the basic slot.)
5: Hop & Twist.
(The left foot hops up, but both feet land on the ground. The body twists to face right during hop. The right foot lands behind the left foot in slot.)
6: Left foot weighted step.
(Transfer all the weight to the left foot after landing.)
7: Right foot forward step.
1: Basic step.
2: Weight transfer to right foot w/ left foot twist.
(Twist body to the left while turning the left foot to the left.)
3: Left foot, basic step.
(The left foot steps as if still in the basic slot.)
5: Hop & Twist.
(The left foot hops up, but both feet land on the ground. The body twists to face right during hop. The right foot lands behind the left foot in slot.)
6: Left foot weighted step.

Forward Vine Step
1: Left foot, basic step.
2: Right foot, weighted step.
3: Left foot, back side step. (Body is turned left 90 degrees from slot.)
5: Right foot, Lift and replace. (Remain in the same position, lift the right foot off the ground and step back in the same place.)
6: Left foot, forward step with body twist. (the left foot steps forward, with the body turning to face 90 degrees to the right of the slot.)
7: RIght foot, forward cross step. (In relation to the slot, the body remains facing right while the right foot steps behind the left leg in a side cross-step.)
1: Left foot, basic step. (Turn the body to face forward again and do the basic step.)

Grape-Vine Series
1: Left foot, right cross-step, front.
(Steps accross and in front of the right leg.)
2: Right foot, right side step.
(Right foot steps to right side in open stance.)
3: Left foot, right cross-step, behind.
(Similar to 1, except step behind the right leg.)
&: Right leg, mid-air pass.
(The count connects the 3rd and 5th count with a mid-air leg fan.)
5: Right foot, left cross-step, behind.
(Similar to above, the right foot steps behind the left leg in cross step.)
6: Left foot, left side step.
(Left foot steps to left in open stance.)
7: Right foot, left cross-step, front.
1: Left foot, left side step.
2: Left travelling turn.
(Travel in a left turn by staying in the line of dance and step with the right foot after turn.)
3: Left travelling turn.
(Continue to travel in a turn by turning left and stepping down with the left foot within the line of dance.)

Forward basic to Cross-body stance

Right Side, Hop Steps
1: left foot, step forward and turn right 90 degrees. The right foot also toe taps behind the left leg.
2: Right foot, shoulder step. (Bring the right foot back to the side while you continue to face the same direction.)
3: Left foot, toe tap. Similar to earlier, the left toe taps behind the right leg.
&: Left turn, 180 degrees. (Bring the left foot back to the side, and pivot so that you turn 180 degrees left to face the opposite direction.)
5: RIght foot, left toe tap. (After turning, step with the right foot and have the left foot toe tap behind the right leg.)
6: Left foot, shoulder step. (Bring the left foot back to the side while you continue to face the same direction.)
7: Left foot, right toe tap. (The left toe taps behind the right leg.)

Quick Left Turn
1: Left body-twist. (while at shoulder step, twist the feet so that they point left. The body also turns slightly left.)
2: Right body-twist. (While at shoulder step, twist the feet to the right. The body also turns slightly right.)
3: Left turn. (Bring the right foot to the left foot while turning left in a spiral/pin turn. Stop when facing forward again.)
567 - Back basic.

Inside Turn Wrap
Inside Turn Wrap
Start - Open hold.
123 - Basic for crossbody prep.
567 - Crossbody inside turn for wrap.
(The lead keeps the right hand at waist level while turning the follower with the left. The follower ends in a wrap in the slot.)
123 - Basic in Wrap position for outside turn prep.
(The lead pulls the follower's right arm gently while taking a step back with the right foot for basic.)
567 - Outside turn by the lead's right hand.
123 - Basic.
Start - Open hold.

Cartwheel to Free Inside Turn w/ Flare
Start - Open hold.
123 - Right turn w/ linked hands to left broken-arm.
(The leader brings the left hand hold low and the right hold high. The leader turns steps to the right and turns right to be at the side of the follower. Right hand hold is up high to prep the follower into a turn.)
567 - Cartwheel turn.
(From the last position, the lead turns the follower with the right hand while turninng left. When the lead and the follower have their backs to one another, the lead brings the right hand hold low while the left is high to to continue turning the follower.)
123 - Free turn prep.
(After turning the follower, the lead is to the left of the follower. The left hand hold is up high and releases for flare. Right hand is ready to pull the follower into a turn.)
567 - Inside travelling free turn.
(The lead pulls the follower into a travelling inside turn.)
